Keep on going.
Hello all. I haven't posted in a few days now, mostly because I haven't had time or have been too depressed. This is hopefully going to be a happy post, I'm trying to avoid making my LJ into a solely angst-ridden environment.
So what's been going on in my life? Well, the other day I was elected table-top representative of LURPS, which i'm fairly pleased with. Hopefully I can continue doing the good work of mwkilburn in running regular tuesday and thursday sessions, with wargaming and cardgaming on sundays, and frequent tabletop one-shots. I have some excellent ideas about how to move forward, especially regards getting a variety of games to be run - had a good discussion with our new president, felixgwilliams, and d&d Alex on the bus today about this. Also, look forward to more spending from the treasury - scenery and playmats for wargaming, more recent books for the Library, and hopefully some cool other stuff too.
The reason I was on the bus was somewhat special - instead of larping today (sorry for missing OA, madfae), I went into town and yelled at my bank manager. You see, yesterday I spent the last of this month's loan on a (cheap) yellow sign costume, and was fairly troubled when I found out that I didn't have an overdraft, despite having applied for one as part of my student account early last term. So yeah, I went to Abbey today and got that sorted out, which is a relief since I need to pay lucrecia rent out of it over easter, as well as the more pressing concerns of Dark Side of the Lune tonight, which should be awesome.
Other things going on? Well, like I said, yellow sign soon, but i can't really talk about that due to *SECRECY*. lucrecia's birthday is fairly soon, but really, I don't need to buy much for that since I wear a goatee, hat, and waistcoat much of the time anyway. Workwise, pretty fair things have been happening, got a 60% on my lab report which is good, but got shouted at via email from my department secretary for never going to tutorials (oops).
So yeah, most things are good, and we generally don't talk about the rest. I'm going to go and put some chips on now, bye.
