Aisha Mershani is an Arab-American, and a corageous participant-photographer
in the Palestininian nonviolent resistance movement. You might have heard
her speak at the Dyke March, or seen her work in a recent exhibition in the
Mission ( http://www.hopeundersiege.com/). Some of her work can be viewed
online at www.amershani.com.
Aisha plans to go back to Palestine this fall, in order to complete a book
project, putting together photographs and interviews to humanize the people
in the nonviolent resistance movement in Palestine.
Recently her place has been broken into and all her equipment was stolen.
This is a great blow to her activism and art in resistance to the
occupation. Help us replace her equipment in support of her important work.
