Wow. I don't know how to start this. You may be thinking I'm selfish, but the truth is, I'm simply afraid of breaking your heart. This is so hard for me; I can't even begin to imagine what it must be like for you.

If it makes you feel any better, that was the most well worded breakup letter I've ever seen.
I'm sure Joe will understand what you have said. You have a way with words, Juliya.

It's okay now...
At first he took it SO BADLY. He changed his display name on Myspace to "I tried" and his headline to "and I GAVE UP".
Took me off his top 8 and everything.. :/
Put up deviations with titles like "One Half", "Incompatible", "A Beautiful Lie", etc.

Now I think he's gotten over it.

He mentioned in his journal that he won't be able to ever look at the letter again, though, making it sound as if it was really harsh...
..was it? Do you think this is harsh?

But he's a totally cool guy. We're talking as friends now, and he's okay. ^^

I don't think that letter was harsh at all.
It was the most polite, well worded breakup letter I've ever seen. Thought I told you that already.
