I ran out of gas while driving the car for the first time yesterday.
Okay, so the thing is:
the car I drive does not have a working gas gauge. We work off of the fuel-range monitor, which under 40 miles goes to the generic "LOW RANGE".
And apparently I was taking the longer way back from Tulsa. and the AC had to work so hard maybe the mileage wasn't what it should have been.
I stalled out at the intersection of the gas station where I was going to refill.
I wasn't sure that's what was wrong (it's over 105 degrees here by that time of day, right now) and it was a mess. ugh ugh ugh.
We were on our way back from Tokyo in Tulsa, where we'd walked quite some distance from where I parked to and from the convention center.
We made extremely quick work of the pint of ice cream I'd bought once home.
NOTE: Ben&Jerry's Greek Frozen Yogurt Strawberry Shortcake is quite good. Quite.
