so yeah, i really need to update, so i'm gonna try. this may have to be the slightly condensed version.
as for the debate spurred in the comments on my last post on the merits of cleveland...well, ya kno, i just have to say that i really do not like cleveland, i think it is one of the worst cities ever and would much rather visit dayton any day. unfortunately, all you crazy people that i love live in freakin cleveland, so i feel a trip there is necessary. um, btw...sarah, i hear you went to chicago? did you perhaps visit your lover? lol
ok, moving on. so me and jason were at the mall the other day and came across "the rules" in the bookstore. have any of you read or heard of them? oh my goodness, i almost want to buy that book just for the pure humor of it. for those of you who don't know, this book lists all the "rules" a girl must follow to get a guy...it includes such favorites as "never call a man first or return his calls and always end the conversation first" and the unforgettable "do not accept a date for saturday after wednesday". ok so weirdness upon all weirdness, the next day sex and the city was on and it was carrie's first date with big and charlotte (a "rules girl") was informing carrie that it was most certainly against the "rules" to sleep with a guy on the first date. so i started contemplating that particular issue...as carrie did decide to sleep with big on the first date (and they freakin ended up together)...anyway, i was reading a column that has girls ask guys for their advice and input on certain issues, and i found a question that asked what a guy REALLY thinks when a girl sleeps with him on the first date. his response? guys think that she's REALLY slutty. but apparently there's an exception! if the girl and the guy have been friends a long time and this just happens when they begin to move past just friendship, it is apparently perfectly acceptable. so there we go.
in other news, i've really just been watching tennis and hanging out with people. i'm getting pretty mad at the freakin french open. henin-hardenne beat maria sharapova, the american men have been out since the 2nd round, and lindsey davenport just got knocked out by mary pierce. i hope nadal wins, he needs to beat federer. anyway, i also cleaned my room! shocking, i know. it was completely ridiculous, i feel like i should have taken a before and after picture because the change is so dramatic.
