Bulletpoints of (not so deep) random

* I had about ten things I was supposed to do tonight, as seems to be the trend recently. Instead, I fell asleep on the couch without even meaning to *sigh*. At the moment I would choose anything over work tomorrow...scrubbing a toilet, washing dishes, walking on hot coals ( Read more... )

general, writing is a cruel mistress

No, they do exist! My gym has them, it's 90% of the reason I pay to go there despite the fact they have somewhere towards the higher fees in town. I obviously fail at making myself understood. Really, they make working out so much better for people who need to be distracted, and have limited time so need to multitask :) The next best thing to a home gym.

Oh, I know - it has those flaws, but the musical numbers have drawn me in.

I'm not sure what else I want either - I'll probably request Power Play like I have both years thus far (somebody else nominated it, I just select it for my sign up), but nobody ever writes it anyway. I have hopes for Being Erica. Beyond that, I'm thinking maybe Catching Fire/Hunger Games, or other even more obscure books that never get fandoms. The one idea I did have however was Law and Order: UK. It was you too who could see the appeal of Alesha/James right? I was actually catching up on some of the episodes today, I didn't realize there had been the last 6 of the season released, and had just seen the first 7. They had never come up on my....acquiring sources.

I think Glee may be 'rare' enough to be in for yuletide, which would almost be too bad. It will dominate it entirely if it is I think.

Well, there's time enough to decide on the requests (and offerings). Right now I'm just trying to narrow it down to the ones I want to even get on the possibilities list - and that's hard enough.

For L&O - let me know if you find 9-11. I've seen 8, and now 12-13, but nothing in between, and can't find them.

Hmm, how to answer the question about the trilogy (well, trilogy of which 2 books are released). I would say it's probably more plot driven than character driven; it's a young adult book, which doesn't always delve as deep into characters. It is YA, and it has a few flaws, but I did enjoy the books overall. I may even put it on my eventual requests and offerings for Yuletide too :)

Thanks, I'd actually just seen episode 9 on a different location. As for the other two, a...certain comm I belong to for...acquiring things such as this have them. If you can't find them, I can dl and reupload, just let me know.

The thing is I'll say for all I read it as being more plot driven than character driven (at least from my perspective), they are very easy reads.

Nominations actually appear to have just started this afternoon! here I wish I'd kept a list all year of things I'd gone searching for fic for and never found. It always comes to me after the fact. I have four nominations selected and two more to go. I think I'll go for a rare book as one as well most likely, though I always tend to forget what I wanted when it comes right down to it. Even if I can't request all six during my official sign-ups, I figure if I get the "fandoms" I want nominated...somebody else might request it...get fic written, and that's almost as good. If only we got more than one fic, ha - with these really rare "fandoms" such as they are.

I haven't heard of those books you mentioned, but I'm curious as I'm always looking for new reading material :)
