Yogurt, yay! Spiders? Bleah...

For the record, I skipped my Geeks Anonymous meeting to do that.

The other night, I went out in response to the familiar 'whump' of my trash can falling over, armed with my hiking stick, and found the top off and a big raccoon butt sticking out the back. So I hollered like anything and whacked the side of the trash can and the raccoon flipped out and took off. Since then, I've started bringing my trash can into my stairwell each evening, where it mostly blocks the door and stair completely which is a problem if I need to get out quickly, but meh, oh well.
So I brought it in last night and when I got up this morning, I discovered that a big brown spider had come in with it, and had covered over the locking handles and the lid and half my bicycle handlebars with webbing.
First: HUHULUHLUHLUHLUHDLUHLUHLHSLHALUHUUHGHGUHLGUHG.
Second: HEEBIE JEEBIES LIEK WHOA
Third: I brought that thing INTO MY APARTMENT. I'm so glad it stayed in the stairwell.
Fourth: That was one darned busy spider overnight.
I ended up reaching over and poking open my door, and then basically tipping the trash can out. Thankfully, the top was locked on with the handles (which do not, however, keep the racoons out) and also thankfully, the spider went with it. Then I took a napkin and wiped down my bicycle.
Icky icky icky yuck.
