My darling Baxter causes me much pain. And! For about two minutes I missed my clarinet, but that's stupid. I hate that thing. A lot. I don't get the title of honorary clarinet, because "things don't come in sevens." Lame. Almost as lame as clarinet. But anyways, I'll get over the baritone thing. I'm pretty sure this season will be more challenging, rewarding and enjoyable than my previous two. So. I'm excited.
My only real complaint about today is that my mother ate the meal I had been saving to make as my "first real day of summer" lunch. She bought it specifically for me, and I'm not so sure why she didn't think that I might actually be planning on eating it. Whatever. I kinda like days when my biggest complaint is about food. Food is icky.
I was way too productive today. I called the ACT people and told them the colleges to send my scores to. And! I scheduled my license test. July 21st. That gives me time to actually learn to drive. Then I did some scholarship thing, kinda learned some baritone scales, did a few chores, and stuff... I almost started reading. Like, I picked up the book and opened it... But I couldn't bring myself to do it. Sorry, Maria. Maybe another day. Actually, yes another day. I promise.
So I took the ACT on Saturday. I somewhat enjoyed the english and math sections, sadly. The reading was way too boring. I disliked the science part. I mean, it was easy. You don't have to actually know anything or understand any of the information you read. You just need to know how to read a graph and get information from a chart. So there's the horrible "I don't know what any of this means" feeling mixed with the frustrated "this has got to be a joke" feeling. I hate simple mindless stuff. A lot. One of the things was about static vs. kinetic friction though. I liked that one.
I didn't really make it to any graduation parties this weekend. I apologize to those of you whose parties I missed. I was kind of stuck in Ham Lake all day on Saturday, and never found a ride anywhere on Sunday. Bad excuses. I'm sorry. Karina, we'll have to do something some time soon.
Mono has been treating me a bit nicer these days. By the end of the school year, I wasn't napping every day after school, just most days. But, it's been getting a lot easier to stay up past 8. I think that with my summer sleeping schedule, I'll be all better by like.. next week. The only question is whether or not I'll be able to move my arms.
So, I'm a bit disappointed. My summer project was completed before summer ever began. And I didn't even have to do anything. At all. Since when did things just work out like that? Jeeze. I'm in search of a new summer project now. Ideas?
And. Um. That is all.
