20 Ikuto Tsukiyomi Icons
Started a new full time job a few weeks ago, which is great for my bank account... not so good for my free time ^^' As such I've been further delayed in getting caught up with old icon posts, that said I did somehow manage to finish another claim over at anime20in20, this time featuring one chosen male character!
Here are 20 icons of Ikuto Tsukiyomi from Shugo Chara! I love this character because one moment he is being a playful tease and a bit of a trouble-maker, then the next he is really sweet and affectionate making you just want to hug him... in other words, he's a cat XD Please take whatever tickles your fancy, but I'd appreciate it if you would:

I N F O R M A T I O N
(in which I ramble about the method to my madness, plus possible spoilers... the full list and explanation of the themes I had to choose from can be found here)
01. A picture is worth a thousand words XD This image was too perfect not to use, anyone with a cat has probably seen this expression at one time or another (and has the battle scars to prove it), I tried to bring out the raw emotion
02. The violin is such an important part of Ikuto's backstory, that I knew I had to show him playing it and this theme seemed the perfect fit to do so. The text was inspired by the passion I both see and feel when someone is playing this instrument around me. Tinytext brush by schokotorte
03. I went with this image because it shows Ikuto with tie undone, shirt untucked in a relaxed pose seemingly after a long day. The vibrant sky in the background shows the sun beginning to set as the last bit of light dances in the air before evening falls. Stock photo by John Humble
04. Cats are never (ever) clumsy... even if you happen to see them do something silly by accident, they just lick their paws and act like it was no big deal, they totally meant to do that. Must be a nine lives thing. So instead have an image of Ikuto mocking Amu (not shown) as she nervously clings to safety high above the ground. Tinytext brush by mrsspock
05. Desiring to be a stray cat was a start, but Seven Seas Treasure character transformation definitely captures all the freedom that Ikuto has longed for his entire life. The text was chosen to further strengthen his deepest wish to escape his obligations and be free to explore the world as he pleases. Tinytext brush by wonderland
06. One of the few images to show Ikuto behaving as a true gentleman: with his crisp white suit, lovely boquet of flowers and charming smile *cough*someone marry him already*cough*
07. A close-crop and titled pose to show off his handsome jaw line, though of all his facial features I personally find myself getting lost in his gorgeous eyes ^^'
08. There were certainly plenty of scenes showing him running and jumping about, but I really love this image and decided to go for a different interpretation using text. His facial expression seemed to suit the chosen text wonderfully, such a sweet moment
09. A cute chibi of Ikuto showing off his good side XD Had fun playing with colourful patterned textures to capture his aloof attitude. Stripe texture by unknown (credit needed) & polka-dot texture by sanami276
10. This one is for the fangirls! Way to bring sexy back with a sultry pose and open shirt *_____* (at this point I realize I am talking about an illustrated character... I need a social life XD)
11-15. I love working with typography, so this special category was a lot of fun for me. I decided to use quotes from various cat-related lyrics and common phrases/sayings in combination with silly images of Ikuto in chibi/cat form XD
11. We start things off with an adorable little Ikuto and an all too familiar question... well if you're old like me ^^' Texture by 99mockingbirds & lyrics by Tom Jones
12. Catnip certainly is a wonderful treat, fitting of such a strong endorsement as this one! Tinytext brush by wonderland
13. Just a err friendly reminder that Ikuto has claws (all the sharper and stronger when he transforms to Black Lynx) and isn't afraid to use them o-O Texture by unknown (credit needed)
14. Ikuto would be wise to listen to this old proverb... but the enticement of a ball of yarn proves to much for him and Yoru in the end ^^'
15. Technically not in cat form, but this image was just too precious not to use. A classic saying that I adapted a bit (catnap vs nap) to make it fit the set's purposes, this seems to represent all cat's approaches to life in general, Ikuto being no exception ;p
16-20. For my final five icons, I decided to make a story set that told the tale of Ikuto's life (using key events for each) as he sought out his dreams and met various roadblocks along the way
16. Aww, he was such a cute kid <3 Young Ikuto (violin, not shown, in hand) gazing up at the stars and making a wish for an equally bright future. Tinytex brush by schokotorte
17. Putting his talent as a musician to use as a member of Black Diamond. However, the hidden motives behind the band's performances ruins the moment for both him and his sister
18. As he struggles between his obligation to Easter company and his attraction to Amu. What do the stars have mapped out for him? What destiny will his Dumpty Key unlock?
19. Now trapped as a mindless servant (evil music related black magic) he takes on a new form and becomes a complete pawn. Stock photo by Jospeh Clark
20. Finally his ship ambition sails takes him to Paris, where atop the Eiffel Tower he talks by phone to his 'one true love' (amuto fangirls rejoice), his pirate form in the background to represent the freedom he has now achieved and all he has to look forward to
All my artbook, manga etc. images came from MiniTokyo & Zerochan, while the anime screencaps were found via Google searches that lead me to various fan pages and episode review sites. The majority of textures/brushes have been credited above, because my general list is in sore need of updating. Please let me know if I forgot to mention you or otherwise ask if you want to know about something specific and I'll do my best to find it for you.
