#1 is very good, too, but I think it's too dark. Maybe a screen layer or two would help.
#2 doesn't stand out that much. I don't think rotating it helps. It's not a bad icon, just like an average one.
I absolutely love #3. The color is so soft and pretty.
I really like #4, but the text doesn't seem to meld well. Maybe if it was a lower opacity. I think the heart is also too much. The negative space and the monotone color are gorgeous. The text could then be almost a whisper in the darkness of the icon.
#5 is really bright and yellow. I'm thinking you wanted it to be yellow, but I think toning down the brightness and maybe counter-acting the yellow with some blue just a little bit would make it look so much better.
Icon 1: I think this one is a little too bright the dress color sort of blends with the background. Icon 2: Perfect icon :) Icon 3: The crop for this icon is lovely, I just think her neck is a little too yellow at the bottom. Icon 4: I love this icon. I for one have a horrible time coloring cartoons you've done this icon very well. Icon 5: I believe the only problem I have with this is the blocking technique used. Perhaps using Blue in the background would have worked better with a little smudging and blurring or a texture.
Hi! :) First, I'll say I know next to nothing about Disney or manga icons, but I'll do my best.
#1: Nice composition and colouring! Maybe you could vary the hue of either the dress or the background, because while it's really nice that the colours are similar, they are a bit too similar, and it's hard to tell them apart. I also think you could lower the brightness and increase the contrast a bit. I tried an auto curves layer on the icon in my version of Photoshop, and it darkened the icon a bit, which means it was too bright and needed contrast. Just that and it would be gorgeous

Icon 1: Out of the group of icons you posted, I'd have to say that this is my favorite. Lovely texture use and coloring. Icon 2: I think the texture kind of draws attention from the subject(s) Icon 3: Lovely crop and the coloring is not too bright, just right. Icon 4: Love this icon ♥ I really like how the top kind of blends in with the livejournal white blackground lol :) Icon 5: I love the blocking technique used here. I for one have a hard time with that but you've pulled it off with this icon.
#1 & #5 looks great. The crop on #3 is also really good. I can't really make out what's the subject on #2 and I agree with the above comment that it draws the attention away from the subject.
The first icon has very nice, natural colors in it. I think my main issue, if I were going to say it has any, is the slightly grainy aspects that the shadows (or lack thereof) have on the right side of the icon. I think, in this case, in order to smooth those out and to really make this icon pop, i might have opted for more defined lights and shadows. Like these:
Overall, I think these are each a bit too dark and grungy. I adore your cropping on #4, and the coloring is pretty, too, but I think it would look even better if you brightened it up a bit. The same thing goes for #5. #1 is kind of an unoriginal crop, which isn't a bad thing if the coloring or something is really stunning, but because of the dark, grungy coloring, the icon falls flat.
