Due to an ongoing arguement with zoozyq, I've started reading the anti_porn lj community. Now, of course I disagree with them in principle...but I *really* disagree with them in certain places.

Like the responses to this postI can't post to the community because I'm not a member...but here's what I would have to say in return

I totally agree with you on that. For all their talk of "human rights," they don't seem to extend them to anyone who disgrees with them, and that pisses me off too. Some of those people are the epitome of intolerant...to the point where I haven't even tried to join the community because of it, and because, from what I gather, the community isn't really there to foster any kind of debate. I can sort of understand wanting to have a place where they can just let loose and bitch about things to a totally sympathetic audience...but at the same time it's a total cop-out.

porn_debate is a lot less active and many times less mature, but it at least allows for both sides of the story.
