Cutting images with the pen tool in PS6

I checked the Photoshop memories, and didn't see a heading for this, so I thought I'd throw it together-if there's already a tut on it, feel free to delete it. :)

Do you know if this would also work with PSP7?with the pen tool?

It should work in PS7 pretty much the same way-I haven't noticed a big difference in how the tools work. I'll check it when I get back to my home computer, though.

It does work in PS7, but the settings are a little different-it looks like they've combined the pen tool and the shape tool, so to use this tutorial you have to make sure you've changed the settings at the top so they look like this:

This is great. I don't know why I never thought to use the pen tool for this task -- I've always just frustratingly suffered through with the lasso tool. Great tutorial. :)

this was really helpful, i use it all the time now! I never used it before and always tried to use the lasso tool... this is way more convienient :P thanks!
