Photoshop CS5 : adjustment layers go unresponsive
Hi! I spent a lot of time looking for the answer from the memories and FAQ, but couldn't find anything, and can't find anything from Google either, so I thought I'd ask here. While I'm making icons, suddenly the adjustment layers go all gray and unresponsive like this:
That's supposed to be a Channel mixer layer, but you can't write numbers in the boxes or change the output channel. Similar thing often happens to at least Selective coloring layers, and I recall having seen it with Curves as well. Does anyone have an idea on why this happens? I've tried to study it myself but I see no pattern here - usually it just randomly happens without me doing anything in particular, and other types adjustment layers (even those that have the tendency to sometimes do this) may still work normally when a certain type of adjustment goes crazy. The layers usually start working normally when I shut the program down and open it again, but it's annoying to do that all the time. All help would be greatly appreciated.
