Text on GIFs

I've searched through the tags, but I cant find anything to help specifically with my issue. I've no problem with making GIFs *points to sexy Kurt* but have problems with adding text to GIFs. Can anyone help me with this? I know how to add to show in the last frame or whatever, but not to remain on the icon the whole way through..
When I add a text layer, and move it to the position I want, it only moves on one of my frames..so I have to do it all manually. Is this the only way?
