Hi, i run an icon community, and i gave someone posting access as a trial maker in october, every trial maker always gets 5 posts, in 3-4 weeks time and then my memebrs vote if they want them to stay as amaker i explain this to them even before they apply, and after i repeat it to them when they have been accepted... this person posted their first

I wouldn't say you're overreacting.

You've explained the process beforehand and all. Did she mention why she hasn't contacted you in all those months? I would understand it, if she didn't have Internet access. Otherwise, I wouldn't want let her back in.

If you've explained everything clearly, you are definitely not overreacting and she's only got herself to blame. If there's no good reason for her disappearing, why would you let her finish her trial period? She knew the rules well before she even got accepted as a trial maker. You made those rules for a reason, don't feel bad about sticking to them.

No, you're not overreacting and I wouldn't take her back, especially since you've already got 12 other makers, I could understand if you absolutely needed her. I know it seems like kind of a mean thing to do, but she had her chance, and you shouldn't back down on what you said, because if you do that for her then you have to do it for everyone else, and its not fair to those who completed their posts within the required amount of time. And like everyone else said, if she can had a good reason for her disappearance then that's acceptable, but not if she just forgot or decided to be done with lj for a while.
