"Look around us! As a child, I always dreamed of a world below. I wanted to see the surface with my own eyes and feel the land's warm breeze on my skin."

She glanced down at the forest beneath them, hesitating. This was a huge step she was taking, to forsake all that she had in her previous life. And yet a serene certainty came over her... it was almost divine...

"I... I think I want to live here. I always want to feel solid ground beneath my feet, see the clouds above my head, and watch over the Triforce."

She gazed over at the horizon, where miles and miles of verdant forest lay before them. And beyond that, an expanse of sand and stone and lava... and she was sure that somewhere there lay an ocean... she had never seen an ocean before...

A goddess shouldn't be confined to a tiny rock in an expanse of nothing. Yes, Skyloft was her home, and she loved it dearly. But now... there was so much more!

"What about you, Link?"

She paused once again, drinking in his surprised and hopeful expression. Would he do his duty follow her? The goddess's faithful servant? The academy's loyal knight?

No... if he was to follow, it would be as her beloved friend.

If he didn't... this was where she belonged, with or without him...

... But she didn't know if she could stand saying goodbye...

"What will you do now?" she said with an unexpectedly definite tone to her voice.

A smile broke on his lips as he gasped in excitement, the sacred harp falling gently from his hands onto the moss at their feet.

And at that, she threw herself into his arms as a rainbow of giant red and blue feathers cascaded over them.
