Febuary Stuff

So, went swimming yesterday, at the "family swim". It was fun, except that there were too many people. We're going to try going in the early morning adults only lap swim, that should be better. I think I might get a monofin (like two swim fins...but one!) I've wanted one since I've been into dolphins, but they used to cost around 200 bucks, but ( Read more... )

Toby and I are very sad that you don't come to do any PaCO stuff anymore. :(

I bet other people are sad too.

We had lots of fun making those stone pendants and herb sachets I told you about a couple weeks ago. It's too bad you didn't come. :( We made leather roses the week after, and that was fun too. Friday's Family & Friends Weekend display was pretty cool too, I had fun there. It was carnival theme in the field house again, with the big bouncy flying machine thingy and other stuff/games, I dunno if you would have like all that though, there were a lot of people around.

I still wanna get a PaCO field trip together sometime this spring to come check out the rock shop and stuff in Belfast, hopefully on some weekend. Will you hang out with us then?
We miss you lots. *sniffle*

Aw...it's rough on Scott to drive to Bangor, and stick around there, and I have no other way to get there.

Yeah, that sucks.. Do you have a license? Probably no, huh? Can you get one?

No, don't have one and there are some difficulties in getting one.
I do get very nervous about driving, I'm not sure how safe it'd be...though I'd probably never be as bad as some people.

I bed you'd do fine, as long as you are not unreasonably scared of all traffic movements, like my mom is.

Besides, if you got a license, you'd be reasonably set for emergency situations, like if you had to drive Scott to the hospital, or if the apocolypse was in progress and you had to swipe an available car to escape somewhere..

If there were some horrible emergency going on to make me panic more than I already do, I'd be even less safe on the road.

Well, in the apocalypse scenario, you don't need to worry about being safe, you just need to be able to make a car go. But yeah, in the driving Scott to the hospital, you might have a problem. Still, if somehow it ended up your only option, it'd be better to know this stuff.

Actually, I myself only really know enough to make an automatic car go. If faced with a standard, or if faced with a vehicle that was not in good working order, I'd be in trouble. I think it's not terribly smart to know so little about things we depend on. I really should work on that at some point..
