Yes, so it has finally happened. I have decided that I actually want a volks doll. I feel so lame, but I can't help myself. I guess it really stems from the fact that I love making stuff, and they are so customizable, especially the cheap ones! I mean the 80,000 yen dolls are amazing and beautiful, but why the hell do people pay so much for a doll?! "I love them, they are my children!" -You're a freak. Don't say things like that. It's disturbing.
I mean, the Dollfie Plus stuff is actually pretty cool, and I would have no reservations about painting stuff on it's face and generally doing whatever I want to to it because...a new head is like 12 bucks or something. Also...people you can order directly from the Volks site, so you don't have to pay outrageous fees to buying services or get ripped off on ebay. I one that I put together complete with two sets of eyes is only going to cost me about 40$, with a black and white polka-dotted tie that I can't resist.
I mean, if someone wants to get me an early birthday present to last me the rest of my life, buy me this.
