I came home to a box of baby blue faux fur the other night, so I decided it was time to crank out a Manticore to see how it looked. ...which also meant staying up late sewing again. But, I didn't make myself finish, so I got plenty of sleep last night, without losing my day before work. And, since I've been cruel lately and haven't put anything

Yeah, they're my favorite part, too. It makes him look doofy, but in a cute way. ;)

*squeal* It's so cute! Funny, but I think the blue colour really does suit the manticore quite well! And then with the fluffy white mane... you did a really good job on this one! It looks awesome! I'm sure that the customer is going to be very excited to get these!

Tweaking the patterns does sound like a good idea. I do the same thing- always eyeball-ing allowances rather than measuring them out. Sometimes it works well for me, and other times not so much. Perhaps I should take a tip and remember that next time I'm sewing something...

The mane is actually baby blue, but it's not so obvious thanks to cameras being inferior to eyes. XP But thank you!

Yeah, it's not bad eyeballing things if you remember each time, but sometimes I make mistakes... (Which, actually benefitted the gryphon pattern, but still!) Do you have any future sewing projects?

I had been thinking that you mentioned a baby blue mane, and for some reason, I guess the graphics on my phone stole the color. Or perhaps I just wasn't looking closely enough, because I can see it now! O_O
In any case, it looks lovely!

As for sewing projects... I'd really like to if I get some time... Though, right now, I'm just trying to get to June without going insane. Haha..
