So many puppies are coming in to work again! The other day I got to see the pug/chihuahua puppy that came in as a tiny baby, and now he's walking about on a leash! (Mostly. He wanted to grip it in his teeth and pull on it, fighting the walk.) While I was ringing up his owner, we were chatting, so I wasn't paying attention to the puppy. Seems he needed to relieve his little bladder, so he sniffed about until he came to the pad I stand on at the register. He joined me on the pad, where he eagerly peed.
...and yes, he has been trained using potty pads! Right idea, excellent execution, but wrong pad! He was so cute and meant well, I couldn't be upset with him. His small bladder helped, as he only left a puddle instead of a lake like a German Shepherd puppy the other night...
Speaking of German Shepherd puppies, a couple came in today with another mutt puppy. German Shepherd, and something fluffy! (It had the look and coloration of a German Shepherd, but the coat of something much, much fluffier!) Sweetest little puppy! I got in a quick pat before I rang up their things, but the small bit of contact made him yearn for more, as he came to my side of the shopping cart and whimpered at me for some more love. ....I really wanted that puppy! He was too adorable, and a talker as well! He had big feet though, so he's going to be pretty big one day. (He was maybe the size of Ralph, so easily held in the arms.)
In non-puppy news, I went in to work yesterday, only for the power to go out before I could even clock on! That made for fun times, but among other things, I learned how to keep the fish alive when there's no power for their air filters. Good skills to have!
So glad I finally get two days off. Must sleep, and dream of cute puppies!
