I was watching this video and it made me think about "pop!singing".

I mean, what exactly is it? Is it really singing? But what do we really consider "singing"? Is it just casually humming a tune or is it necessary that you use breath support and etc? Or does that just pretain to classical/broadway singers? If that latter is true, is "pop!singing" really singing at all? Can anyone do it? Or do you have to have some sort of quality or specific tone of voice? Are "pop!singers" not doing it right? Or does that style of "singing" have its own special rules?

To those of you who have recording technology: I like that song Fly from the vid, but I don't think the way Hilary sings it. If you have the time, could you record yourself singing it for me? Please? I'd really appreciate it ;DDD. Here's the karaoke version.

EDIT:

I think this girl is great. No?

vocal technique, hilary duff, singing, pop!singing
