You know what's funny?
Most of the people in phanwank who hated the 2004 movie because it was homg teh misrepresentation and Leroux is the one and only Phantom God and all 2004 movie fans are not REAL Phantom fans love V for Vendetta.
I find that quite amusing, since most V for Vendetta comic fans detest that movie.
Even better, the guy who wrote the comic book took his name out of the credits.
I bet somewhere, in some other community/forum/whatever, there's a bunch of angry V for Vendetta fans insulting like half of the 2004 movie haters of phanwank for ignorantly loving homg teh misrepresentation and not understanding that Alan Moore is the one and only God and that all movie fans are not real V for Vendetta fans.
I wonder how they'd feel, being on the other side of that whole thing? Not so condescending anymore, eh?
No offense to my friends who hated the movie - the people that annoy me are the ones that think most people who liked the 2004 movie are not real fans. Leroux is not God, and just because he originally came up with the story does not mean that we must all like his version best, or even at all.
