Candy is SO evil..
Notice the SO. Cuz I mean it!!! Of course, that didn't stop me from buying a bunch at the After-Easter Sales.... *le sai* ;)
I had a really fun weekend with P-chan. We didn't go anywhere or anything.. though we saw Scooby Doo 2, which I really liked, by the way! Better than the first one. And we rented a movie called "Vampire Effect".. which is a chinese "high budget effects" weird vampire movie which has Jackie Chan on the cover.. except he's not a huge part, but that was ok! It was a fun movie. Friday P-chan got himself a birthday present, but I'm not at liberty to say what it is. Yet. I'm sure he'll tell everyone in his own time. I told like.. 2 of our friends. One of them I know has been good so far and not told anyone.. Last I heard anyway. ;)
Hmm.. Oh!! I'm very excited. Yesterday, I was poking around online, trying to dig up an old friend, "Beedoo!".. she's from the Gargoyles fandom and I've met her IRL a few times. She's a fun girl, and had a brain tumor a couple of years ago, so I worry about her. Anyway, while I was trying to find her site (which I finally found), I came across another friend from the Garg fandom, Arno.. his site. I went to his links to see if he had Beedoo! linked, and to my surprise, I noticed he had my friend Tara/Aubrey linked! Now, I swear I found that link a few months ago and it didn't work. But I tried it anyway, and lo and behold.. a page came up. Splash page had new art I hadn't seen, so I entered the site... Updates as early as February of this year?? Oh man... she IS still alive!! I was relieved, excited, and scared all at the same time. What if she was avoiding me on purpose?? What if she hated my guts for some reason? But I emailed her, and gave her the option, and today I got an email back from her! She was even very excited and happy to hear from me. This is good news. I was realizing today, as I emailed her back, that we've known each other for seven years, approximately. I believe she was 14 when I met her, almost 15. Now she is 21. Wow. At any rate, I missed her terribly!!! (considering I spent almost an entire LJ entry a couple of months ago talking about her...)
Anyway, this IS a happy thing. Now if I can figure out a way to see her again...
SakuraCon is next WEEK!! Holy crap!! I want my wig >.<.. I haven't heard from the girl I ordered it from, either. HmMmMn.. Suppose I should call. I should probably make sure my costumes are both good to go. =] Heh. And I need to re-dye my hair.. and um.. yeah.. probably lots of other things to get ready. I'm going to miss P-chan and Zeppy!!!! *sniffle*
My brother is getting married this Saturday. This is a very strange prospect for me. At least my sister found a dress in her closet for me to wear. Heh. It's navy blue.. so hopefully that'll be OK. Everyone else will probably be wearing nice, springy colors. Maybe I have something that still fits in my closet.. though I seriously doubt it.. bah. Need. To. Lose. Weight. *sigh* At any rate, the brother that's getting married is the one that I was closest to growing up. We used to share a room.. I slept on the top bunk.. and we used to be joined at the hip. Partners in crime.. ;) at least until we got a little older and we started fighting a lot. Siblings, eh? ;) Anyway, his fiance is cute. They already have a house (I'm jealous!!).. and I wouldn't doubt if she wants kids within the next couple of years. We'll see. ;) Is weird, having a bro that for several years has been playing the field.. all of a sudden decide to settle down. But good. =]
EEyah. That's about all I can say. I got to talk to my Lexy today though. That ALWAYS makes me happy. And I bought all that easter candy. *groan* It's going to take me 50 years to eat it, I swear. Ah well.
I'm going now. It's bedtime!!!
