Shorter to write than I thought

Last night's dream was, I think, the strangest I've ever had. I wish I'd've had a little voice recorder to talk it all back out right when I woke up. that's...vivid, and extremely well-recalled. i don't have a tendency for remembering dreams, and the few times i do, it's in flashes. the last dream i remember was more of the nightmare variety, and it was somewhere in the elementary school years. it involved a lot of me being chased, but the chase was confined to the general vicinity (indoors and out) of the standard Chicago two flat the family lived in at the time, upstairs from the grandparents.

i could tell you that the vignettes of my living space sort of knit together various places i have lived ... the aforementioned two-flat had some of the red-brick elements, but was in a residential area composed mostly of two-flats and bungalows. the sort of industrial area lines up nicely with my apartment in dc, which was across the street from a rather decrepit, hastily built distribution center, and the hardwood floors in my current condo have been water-damaged no thanks to an emergency sprinkler leak out in the main hallway not long ago. i could tell you that, but i'm not sure what that does for you. :-)
