Just my luck
Thursday I went to orientation for my new job. There was one other new hire. We sat in a small office together filling out our paperwork as instructed by the HR manager who we spoke to via conference call becaue she was in Washington. As we were doing this, the other new hire kept coughing and sniffling and blowing his nose and I just kept thinking "Oh no..."
Sure enough, by the next day, I had a sore throat and the sniffles and felt like crap all day long. I officially start my job on Monday (there was some unofficialness after the orientation on Thursday), and the last thing I want is to be sick! I'm trying to take it easy, having lots of tea and vitamin C, but I have so much to do this weekend. *sigh*
Thanks a lot, other new hire! You suck! (Actually, he was a very nice young man, and it's not his fault he had a cold)
