Okay, now that we're actually in the game, it's time to discuss game play and the user interface.

You weren't kidding about the big download; it's bigger than City, TSW and Pirate 101 combined, which makes me wonder how much bloatware is in there. (Thanks EA!)

As far as beginning - we'd probably have a more balanced team if we all solo until 10 (thus giving us chances at various classes). What do you recommend? Solo until 10 or all play the same general type so we can stick together in the early days?

I'm not real happy with the camera controls; I don't know if there's a way to change the left/right mouse button scheme, but if there isn't, I guess I'll have to learn it.

They sure do love the right click, don't they? ;)

One thing that really bugged me happened during character creation. I was about to enter a name and it said my account was logged out due to inactivity. What? I'd been picking out all the usual stuff (hair, skin color, etc.) and got booted all the way back out. So I had to start completely over. I'm a little bothered that it considered that "inactivity". I mean, no real harm done, but it's still an annoyance.

That said, I'm good with the voice acting (the character speaks! hurray!) and so far the neutral responses are best for me, I think. More on this tomorrow, I have to get to bed. Anyway, I'm in there trying. ;)

Whoo boy. If it's not available for Mac, and it's as big as Laridian's saying, I'm going to have trouble playing it. My Windows partition, which was only ever intended for playing Sims 2 and the occasional file that wouldn't format right on Mac (I get that problem with professors' files, occasionally), is very nearly out of space.

Why can't a thing be easy and work right, for once? :(

(Okay, whine over. I'll cope, one way or another. It's one more reason to put it out of my head for the next week and a half, though.)
