(no subject)
Baking a chocolate cake infused with Jack Daniels for Father's Day. (Why? Why not?) I'm also getting up super early in order to head on over to Mom & Dad's to help with breakfast and I have the carnitas in the slow cooker.
Oh pork shoulder. Why you so irritating? First it didn't want to come out of the bag the butcher put it in, then I realized that it was way too big for my crock pot. After a little minor surgery and creative arranging, it fits. Now I'm paranoid that even though it'll be cooking for ten hours straight, that it'll still be raw in some parts. Will be plugging it back in as soon as I get to the parents' house.
Still stuck on Mass Effect. As much as I love Kaidan, my ManShep completely blew him out of the water romantically with this playthrough's Shepard/Ash (and I haven't really done anything in ME3 yet except visit the hospital one time.) The one thing that's bugging me is that my Shepard's face didn't transfer over and remaking it based on memory makes it look weird. Then again, I've had an issue with his cheek/cheekbones in 3/4 profile since ME1, so I guess I did okay in recreating it.
And I'm currently in the process of writing a Shepard/Joker fic because I kinda fell in love with the guy and the plot bunnies are knocking.
But now to go wash dishes so I have a clean workbowl to make chocolate buttercream icing.
