(no subject)
1. I just realized that this year will mark NaNo Novel #8 from me. I can't find evidence of novels #1-7 anywhere on my computer or thumb drives. :(
2. Dish towel project is at 75% done. The ladybug and the hummingbird ones look cute, but I need to go back and weave in the ends later. Haven't started the sunflower one, but I plan on doing that as my lunchtime Arts & Crafts project until the knitting needles I just ordered to make hats for people arrive in the mail.
3. I just cleaned my apartment. I don't mean just swiping clutter into a box and shoving it in a closet, but actually taking time to organize drawers, dust, vacuum/mop, clean windows, etc. from top to bottom. I left my kitchen for last because my pantry is in dire need of organization, but I'll do that tomorrow. I left to go pick up a perscription and when I came back, all I smelled was furniture polish and floor cleaner. It was great.
4. I think I'm getting sick, but I'm fighting it. I have a scratch at the back of my throat that's more annoying than anything and my nose is getting a bit stuffy. Taking cold meds and drinking orange juice to counter it. Might head to the grocery store to collect the makings for Mama Ramirez' Amazing Cure-All Beef Noodle Soup tomorrow as well. (beef noodle instead of chicken because kid!Issa refused to eat anything chicken after recovering from a case of chicken pox back in Kindergarten. The name and the ingredients stuck through the years and this has become my go-to soup to make whenever I start to feel puny. Thanks, Mom!)
5. The kettle is on the boil for more lavender tea. This stuff tastes great iced too, so I've got a pitcher full of ice cubes waiting at the ready.
6. A trip to Wal-Mart for extra cleaning supplies wound up with me buying more yarn - three skeins for the hats I have lined up and another skein for a hat and/or gloves for myself that's a really pretty charcoal color. And then I nearly walked out of the store without picking up the cleaning supplies I had gone in the first place for.
7. The Walking Dead season 2 premire is tomorrow night! *excited dance* I need to catch up on the last few, but I'm betting AMC will be doing a marathon of them tomorrow anyway. Either that, or I saw that Netflix finally has them on instant watch.
8. My iPod keeps on playing all my slow, sad songs at work. I think Ziggy is making a break-up playlist for my co-worker all on its own and I've decided to avoid hitting the skip button (mostly because I really like all the songs. The only time I've hit skip is during the 3 O'Clock Slump when anything slow starts to put me to sleep.) What's strange is that when driving around and having Ziggy plugged into the Wenchmobile or when playing at home, I hardly ever get any of these. Weird.
