The high point of my day - I bought new socks off eBay. Black dress socks, grey argyle socks (cause I have a weird obsession with grey slacks for some reason, so need grey socks), trouser socks (whatever those are), and opaque tight socks. They have cute patterns and dots and sparkles and shit. I only wear flats, so my socks peep out of my pants a lot. Might as well be cute as well as professional, right?
I got 16 pairs of socks for something like $13, including shipping. The store was really reasonable on shipping after the first package of 2.
Joel is taking me out on an actual date for my birthday this Friday. Wut? I'm pretty excited, but of course, since I'm an evil cynical bitch, I also have the thoughts that this doesn't miraculously make things ok. So, there's that. Getting something positive out of it at least.
But did I mention socks?
