Every time I get to the part of MGS4 where Mei Ling asserts that the Missouri is "the only ship in the fleet still able to move", I wonder why Kojima passed up on the goldenly absurd opportunity to have her in charge of the USS Constitution or something.  Man the topsails!  We're taking on Outer Haven!

Can any British people on my flist explain why Blagojevich warrants coverage on the BBC and the Guardian.  Is it because his name is so fun to type and say.

My garden experiment is actually going well.  I've only killed one plant!  It wasn't premeditated. Criminal negligence at most.  Also, did you know that pumpkin vines are like roses in that they've got bastard-sharp little spikes all over them?  Neither did I, so ow.

I've just seen the film version!  I'm not lucky enough to have seen the stage play.

I know that we're meant to be sophisticated enough to keep things in their separate spheres, but I had a childish smile about the slash in the title.  That's my confession for the day.
