Long distance attacks combined with Sasuke's sharingan.

Barriers, stepping stones, camouflage, distraction.

...Perhaps a comination with magic.

Barriers, stepping stones and quick exits are easy. I can even dismantle a weapon if I'm within touching distance, and I'm not bad at martial arts myself.

... you don't have to worry about physical damage, either. The Artifact Negi and I have works as my old armor did. I won't be hurt by just any attack.

Negi's powers can take the form of a partnership between him and another person. A mage is vulnerable while they're casting, after all, and in combat they need someone protecting them.

It's called a Pactio; once it's made, the Partner, in this case me -- receives an Artifact. It's a magical item that takes the form of a person's strength and personality. Mine's -- armor.

It's sealed in this card. [Al removes this from his shirt, holding it up.] And Negi's magic kinda... powers me up, I guess?

Asuna's Artifact was a sword that could cancel out spells.
