I should update~

Went to the PNE with my brother, sister in law and Katherine...it was her first time there. Sadly she was still about 2 inches too short to go on most of the toddler rides including the motorcycles, which she would have loved. Still, they had like 3 or 4 things she could go on. I was worried the crowds and noise would freak her out but she loved it. I went on a couple things with her, we wandered and looked at the animals, etc...

They left around 4 and I hung around because it was going to be the International Cat Fest and I wanted to see it. Chris was all weirded out about leaving me but dude...I'm fine o_o.

Anyway, saw the cat videos...most of them I'd already seen on youtube anyway. Friskies gave out cheap yellow kitty headbands so I grabbed one for Katherine. Saw William Braden as he was the special guest MC and could have easily gone over to say hello but I'm too shy and just slipped out. Tried to get into the GoT exhibit but no one bothered posting signs (they did about a day later)...saying you needed a free wristband to get in and that they usually ran out about an hour after opening. I emailed customer service about the lack of notice and they were like, wtf...you can just go in, you don't need anything. *Facepalm*

I'd gotten there an hour before the park opened as well...so I could have easily gotten one had I known. Meh. Still enjoyed walking around looking at everything then I grabbed some deep fried Oreo's and came home.

Did a free day at circus school, Joyee let me know about it and you could pick one thing to try for an hours class. I realize its stupid dangerous for me in so many ways but meh...the safe class was juggling but I had no interest....so I picked what she does, the Aerial Silks.

My left knee started acting up right before so I was a little worried, got through warm up's okay and doing one stretch, Steven said I was more flexible than half the class. Which made me feel better, because even though my arm span is longer than my height, I could not touch my toes. (So out of practice ugh)

The Aerial Silks are incredibly hard and require a lot of upper body strength, which I sort of have but pushing my body weight up, not pulling up. Those muscles suck o_o I stepped onto the silk and wondered why I bothered coming, I'd probably wasted everyone's time -_-

My hands and fingers started hurting right away, the box move was hard, sitting in the silk a little easier and then it was time to put the silks around each arm like you are putting on a knapsack...

after that you are expected to flip your legs over your head and hang upside down. I couldn't wrap the silks around my wrist to pull myself up because the instructor said you'd get stuck. I wondered how the hell I was going to pull my body weight up and over holding slippery silk. Then I just went for it o_o

I was hanging upside down, Joyee ran over and took a couple photo's which I was grateful for because who knows if I'll ever be able to do that again. The move was cool but also incredibly painful. So of course I practiced it over and over again :P

My body let me know for over a week that I had done circus....I could hardly move but omg...it was so much fun. Any my knee behaved thank goodness o_o

Did a makeup and photography session set up by Julie, sadly because the weather was shit for most of the morning, only like 4 people turned up but with Jon's help we got several really nice shots of everyone. I was able to borrow his lenses and flash so that was great because the lighting was giving me trouble.

Had Changeling downtime last Sunday, I have never seen so many Aces drawn omg D: Poor Cliff and I, but it was fun. My character ended up going to rescue his because all of Summer was busy with their own shit. I knew I was walking in on a trap but what could I do? Bad timing because as I arrived, Copper hopped out the back window. I heard gunshots, talked to the bad guys, assumed he was dead and ran. But hello Aces D: So I ended up getting shot, kidnapped, tortured and interrogated. To be resolved at the next game which was yesterday.

Sadly combat rounds can take forever so even though it was a really good game, I would have liked to get some more role play in. Also did a photoshoot earlier in the day for Changeling. Perfect weather but low turnout =\ I was really hoping more people would show up. Still, we got some great photo's and I'm retouching some of them at the moment. When Gord showed up they wanted some of the two Darklings together, I was kinda meh about it mostly because I'd had no time to flat iron my hair and because I was going to do some busted up makeup later, I hadn't done Adrianna's super dark goth eyes....

But I agreed and am glad I did because Amy got some cute photo's of us.

...

I wish I'd got some high quality photo's later, the bruising I did came out great, could not get the skin wax to work but I never had any time to practice with it, so the cut I did do with some fake blood look like crap but I loved everything else...I just grabbed a few quick shots with the iPad.
