Hey all, how's things?
I'm in a surprisingly upbeat mood right now. It's surprising cause the past two days have been, to put it as gently as possible, two of the most horrible, longest, boring days of my life.
Tuesday night through this morning were spent up at Steve's lake house. Before I left I posted a little bit about the two day get away, and how it involved someone from Ithaca who I've pretty much hated since I met him freshman year.
Anyways, Steve knows I hate this kid, but still had him come along anyway. Whatever, I got over it real fast. What I didn't get over was the fact that I was going to be the third wheel for the entire time we were up there (for those who don't know, mostly home friends, Steve's one of my best friends from Ithaca and is also gay).
I hate being the third wheel, but what I hate even more?
Being the third wheel to Steve and someone whose head I'd like to see on a pike.
I'm bitter and petty, and I don't care.
So yeah, I dealt with being the third wheel by pretty much avoiding the two of them for the past two days (and today included cause he's not leaving til tomorrow at some point). If they were outside, I was inside. If they were inside, I was out by the dock or out on the porch. I do believe that yesterday (Wednesday) I said maybe all of 30 words to the two of them combined.
I was basically a bitch (but when am I not a bitch?).
So yeah, that's been the past two days. Add in a really big dizzy spell on Tuesday and no cell service and, well, I just had an incredibly horrible time.
Thankfully, that was all fixed today. Steve let me use his car so around 4ish I peaced out of Oneida and left Steve and him to their own devices.
I picked up Christian at his house and we went and saw 28 Weeks Later. It was good for a sequel. I actually thought it was good in general. There were only three other people in the theater when the movie started (granted it was at like 5 on a Thursday afternoon), but about an hour in we were the only two left in the place.
After the movie I dropped him off at his place and headed down to the lovely home of Ms. Sarah Marris. Her mom made some awesome Mac 'n Cheese so we had some of that for dinner. Then the two of us, plus her brother Josh, went to Bonomo's for some ice cream. God, I missed Bonomo's and their incredible chocolate shakes. It was so good. After that we went back to her house and I hung around til about 10ish watching Friends and what not. She has an early morning for work so she went to bed when I left.
Then I called up Cortney and met up with her and Karen and we went to Wendy's so they could eat something. We got Wendy's and drove around for a bit. We went to Nice n' Easy so Cort could get Air Heads and on the way there it started down pouring. Hardcore rain action. So we went back to her house to sit out the storm so my drive back to Oneida would be easier.
Hung around there til like midnight-ish just catching up with her, Karen and Dan. It was nice and low key. I left there and after a quick stop at the ATM to check my balance and what not, I'm back here in Oneida.
Overall, an excellent night with Clintonians that more than makes up for the incredibly crappy two days I just went through.
How're things with all of you? Keep me updated people!
