ica's verdict: A very slow story playing on intense emotions among a family triggered by the return of a lost son. It is really intense and fascinating to read how feelings and secrets are unravelled step by step. 7.5/10
Out of Luck by d'Neronique

Summary: No one wants something more than if they can't have it. That's why I believe the best way to get guys is to pretend you're straight - and you had better believe it works like a charm.
ica's verdict: I had a hard time deciding whether I should rec this. It's well written and the premise is really interesting. But the plot development and the emotional development of the main chara gave me a bit of a headache. It's interesting to read but the ending doesn't give me much satisfaction in light of the events prior to it. I guess, read with caution. 6/10
Which Way The Wind Blows by Esquirella

Summary: A man comes to terms with the fact that his lover will never admit to his family that he has a boyfriend. Will he find the strength to break it off?
ica's verdict: A rollercoaster of emotions. The reader gets to see both sides of the relationship and it's really hard to pick a side. You think you want to hate a particular character but you just don't feel it's right. All in all, a good story with an appropriate ending. Though I admit that I felt strangely sad at the end. I think I need more stories with real happy ends. 6.75/10
Out of 15 fics I've read/started I dropped 10, finished 5 and rec'd 3. And none of the 5 had proper happy ends. I feel so down from reading those. I need to find happy stories. With truly happy ends and no dumbass main charas... >_
