My gratitudes, let me show you it
So, we all pretty much know how comments on our fics go. You put your story up, then you go to any relevant comm and pimp it out. Your story has a about a day to get as many comments as possible before your shameless whoring community notification and the nightly newsletter falls off the front page of everyone's flist, at which point the poor story will pretty much languish in obscurity unless a specific rec theme comes up on one of the comms and your story stuck out in people's minds as something worth reccing.
Which is why it confused me a little bit that I'm still getting comments on Greatest Man I Never Knew. It's been up for four days. I did a little poking around.
