Disclaimer: i don't know them as much as everyone other know them. no exact profit was taken from this piece of ridiculous idea. it's just a stress reliever. Partly has resemblance to 2 childhood stories (Cinderella & Sleeping Beauty) but if it has any other resemblance to other stories, it was unintentional
extra note : inspired from years ago based on
this Once upon a time, in a country named Japan, there lived a beautiful young girl named Satoko. She was a beautiful girl with tan skin and wavy blonde hair.
She came from a good family. Her father was a businessman who traveled all over the world and her mother was a beautiful lady who was once desired by every single man in the country.
Satoko inherited her beauty from both her beautiful mother and handsome father. That meant everyone wanted her, too.
But there is a Malay proverb that says, "The sky will not always shine bright.”
Her mom died of an illness. It broke both her and her dad's heart. He left Satoko alone for a few months for business, though Satoko knew it wasn’t really for that purpose. Her father loved her mother so much that her death broke his heart, and he left to mend it. He came back with a beautiful young lady as his new wife.
Satoko however was not as unlucky as Cinderella. Her stepmother loved her since the woman really wanted a daughter. Marrying Satoko’s father was just like hitting two birds with one stone. She got a husband and a daughter. The stepmother pampered Satoko a lot, giving her a new hope on continuing her life which she thought was over the day her mum died. But the only thing that troubles Satoko is her two evil stepbrothers, Jun and Kazunari.
Satoko had to admit that the two stepbrothers were the most handsome guys she ever met in her whole life. Well, she didn’t go out that much and she never really took a look at any random man before. Most of the time, she spent her time doing clay work or making figurines, that sometimes make her new mother complain of the time he spent and the mess she had caused. But her stepbrothers’ attitudes were not as beautiful as their appearance.
Kazunari was one spoiled brat. He was clingy to his mum, which is something that Satoko didn't really care. But Kazu made Satoko’s closeness to his mother as a threat for him, especially when their mum praises her for every single work she had done. He was always jealous over the simplest things that sometimes Satoko couldn’t help thinking how ridiculous that handsome man’s brain works.
On the other hand, Jun was a perfectionist. He loved to look good all the time. He loved everything with quality: food, clothes, shoes, everything. Even his bedroom had its own quality on how it should be organized. Hence, he makes Satoko iron his clothes and hang or fold them properly according to his standards. If she did one mistake, she had to redo everything.
With both Jun and Kazunari forcing her to do their chores, she couldn't help feeling doubly pressured. How she hoped that a prince will come and save her from her two stepbrothers.
But tragedy struck again. Satoko was preparing breakfast for the family when they heard the news. Her father was lost in the deep sea on his way home from a business trip and people kept assuming he was dead.
That was when everything changed for Satoko and her stepmother. Her stepmother was so heartbroken by Satoko’s father death that she refused to eat, and day by day, her health started getting worse. Again, Satoko lost another loved one when her stepmother passed away a few weeks later, leaving her all alone with her evil stepbrothers.
Here begins her unfortunate life. While her father didn't leave any will, almost all the fortune went to her stepmother. And she never was able to change her last will, resulting all the fortunes fall to her evil stepbrothers.
They treated her never better than trash. "You’re lucky that we still take you in," was what they said. But taking her in never meant better than making her their slave. They made her do every single work in the house, from laundry to cooking and even cleaning the whole house by hand. And if they weren’t satisfied, she gets punished. Sometimes, she wouldn’t get food for the whole day or they would double the workload.
With Jun as a perfectionist, her work never got a compliment. Most of the time, he made her repeat the chores twice or thrice until he felt satisfied. No matter how perfectly it was done, Jun would never acknowledge her works, instead, she received more insults, never a praise even if it was beautifully done.
And with Kazunari in the house, it didn't get any better. He was a brat. Every single time Satoko thought she had finished her work, Kazu would come up with thousand of excuses or ways to make her redo the work; spilling coffee on the floor, taking his dirty clothes to an area where Satoko couldn't find, and many other ways. Satoko could see how the man smirked in satisfaction when he sensed her disappointment.
But Satoko never got mad over the things they did. Instead, it encouraged her to work earnestly. She knew that the two brothers were just trying to make her leave the house, and they were doing it in the very sly way. But Satoko was determined. This was her house, despite it not named for her. And she would never leave it, no matter what happens. Satoko knew it would never be that easy when the two brothers were united in order to give her a hard life.
******
Everyday went as usual with her routine. Satoko never knew how long it would be, maybe until the day that one of them dies, until things would change. But as for now, things went the way it did. Never had she thought that it ever would, until one day, things did change.
Poor Satoko was doing the laundry inside the bathroom, when Jun walked out of the bathroom, throwing his clothes at her. He wore a smug smile as he instructed her.
“Wash it. Make sure it is clean and I want it to smell nice enough for one week,”
“Hai,” she said, nodding.
It would be a lie if she said she wasn’t sad by the treatment she received. But still, she couldn’t do anything. She was not one to whine, though. Hence, she did it without a word.
She had just finished the laundry and was getting ready to put the laundry outside to dry when Jun showed up, standing at the door, a towel around his waist, watching her.
“You’re done?” Jun asked coldly. Satoko just nodded. Slowly, she carried the basket containing the wet clothes out of the bathroom while Jun making his way in.
It happened suddenly. She didn’t know how, maybe because of the slippery floor, when Satoko stumbled and lost her balance. She was lucky enough that Jun, despite his perfectionism and his troublesome attitude, still had some sense of humanity, or maybe he just didn’t want to involve himself into any trouble. Just before Satoko hit her head on the floor, Jun managed to catch her, protecting her head from the hard surface, before he, too, lost his balance and they both crashed on the floor with Jun on top of her.
For once, Satoko couldn’t think. It could have been serious if she had hit her head. It was the first time she felt grateful that Jun was there to save her from getting hurt. But then, her mind started to work again and the first thing she saw was Jun’s face an inch away from her. Noticing their awkward position, with only Jun’s towel covering his you-know-what, Satoko blushed. She could feel his length on her right thigh, and she wondered if he was hard by the sudden contact. Having the thought, she blushed even more.
“What are you blushing about?” Jun asked sternly.
“Nothing,” she replied almost immediately, pulling her face away from her stepbrother. She tried to push him away but Jun didn’t move even after a minute. And he wasn’t showing any sign of moving away from her any moment soon, either.
What Jun said next surprised her.
“Seeing you this close… you’re actually beautiful.”
For once, Satoko didn’t know if she should be happy or proud by the compliment. Well, Jun said she was beautiful if she needed to paraphrase the man’s sentence again. But still, what was with that “actually”? So all this time, Jun thought that she was ugly?
“I’m complimenting you, Satoko-chan. Shouldn’t I get a reply for that?” Jun said, his low voice sounding sexy. What the hell have I been thinking? she asked herself.
“Umm… thank you?” she replied, giving him an embarrassed smile. She could still feel his length poking her leg, making it a little awkward for her to move.
They stayed in that position for a moment. It was the first time Satoko could see Jun’s face up close, noticing how perfectly smooth her stepbrother’s skin was. But then someone coughed, bringing them back to reality, Jun quickly got up.
“Wow, so she finally got into your pants, huh? Or should I say, your towel?” Nino said, smiling mischievously at them. While Satoko blushed, Jun quickly defended himself.
“It was an accident, brat! Now move. I need to take a bath,” Jun said, pushing both Satoko and Kazunari out of the bathroom along with the basket contain the wet clothes, before closing the door with a bang.
Kazunari laughed.
“i saw your dick poking out, Jun. you can’t hide it anymore.”
“Shut up!” Jun yelled from inside the bathroom.
Satoko was so embarrassed listening to the conversation that she quickly fled from the scene. Before she could leave far enough, though, Kazunari grabbed her by her arm, stopping her.
“You like it?”
“Huh?”
“Him. Being on top of you. Or his…”
“It’s not what you think, Kazunari-kun. It was an accident,” she said, her cheeks turning flaming red.
Kazunari chuckled. He let her go before walking past her, but stopped abruptly.
“Once you’ve finished with the laundry, come to my room. It’s so messy. When did you last tidy it up?”
Kazunari didn’t really wait for her reply. Instead, he left her to think about that. As far as Satoko remembered, she did clean his room that morning.
But trying to wave off the bad thoughts, she left to hang the clothes.
****************
Kazunari’s room was indeed messy. The books were scattered all over the floor and his gaming console wires were all over the place. If she had to describe the room at the moment, it was like a deathly crash site. Maybe even worse.
“Tidy it up. You don’t seem reliable so I’m gonna watch you while you do it,”
“But I did clean up your room this morning, Kazunari-kun,” she tried to protest only to receive a death glare from him. He walked from where he was standing towards her, staring directly into her eyes .
“Are you trying to go against me? Do you know how much trouble you’d be in if you do?””
“What are you doing?” Satoko asked, a little nervous.
Kazunari smirked at her. He thought of something, but before he could act on it, he stopped.
“Try, and I’ll show you what I’ll do,” he said, staring at her. Refusing to put herself in any more trouble, Satoko broke their eye contact and started cleaning up.
She couldn’t help thinking if Kazunari messed up his room intentionally. From the way it looked, she knew he might have done it. She was sure she has cleared the room properly that morning. That’s why she protested, especially when Kazunari said she didn’t look reliable. She felt offended.
Maybe she was deep in thought or the books in her hands were stacked too high for her to see her way, but it happened too fast again. She stumbled over the tangled wires of Kazunari’s gaming console on the floor, throwing her -and the books- off balanced. The books landed everywhere.
And she landed on top of Kazunari, who was playing with a kendama somewhere in her way, with her lips meeting his.
Awkward.
But just when she tried to push herself away, Kazunari placed his hand around the back of her neck, pulling her closer to deepen their kiss.
“Hmmph,” she whimpered in protest, but Kazunari placed his hand firmly on her head and she started to enjoy the kiss silently. Her very first kiss.
And when they pull apart, Kazunari saw how red Satoko’s face was probably because she was running out of breath or maybe just embarrassed. Kazunari couldn’t help thinking how beautiful she was though. Despite all the cold treatments he had been giving the girl all this time, he couldn’t deny that he had fallen in love with her. In fact, at first sight.
He raised a proud eyebrow, a smirk never left his lips. Watching Satoko lowered her head nervously, making Kazunari felt a little funny.
“Kazunari-kun, I’m- I’m-“ her words cut off when Kazunari suddenly caressed her cheek lightly, before lifting her chin to look at him.
“So beautiful,” Kazunari said absentmindedly. Satoko blushed.
“I’m- I-“ Again, she stopped when Kazunari put his index finger on her lips.
“Was that your first kiss?” Kazu asked.
“I- what?”
“I’m sure you heard me, but I’m going to repeat it again. Was that your first kiss?”
Satoko lowered her head. God, she had been blushing too much today. At that moment, she wondered if her cheeks will be fine by the constant blushing.
“I’m still waiting,” Nino said. These two brothers sure have the same genes, she thought. Their low voices sounded so sexy to her ears that she had to behave herself from being aroused. What the hell was she thinking?
Slowly, she nodded. She swore she could see that the man’s lips forming a victory smile, but it was quickly replaced by a serious expression.
“Well, if you feel embarrassed about it, you don’t have to tell it to anyone,” Kazunari said, closing their distance even more. “It will be our secret,” he said whispering in the girl ear.
Yeah, it will be our secret in your dream, Satoko. Of course I’m gonna brag it to my brother. Heck. Satoko is mine. I will never let her fall into your hand. Never!
That evening, when they had dinner together, Satoko never thought that she’d be in a mess, what more, a surprise. She could see how the two brothers grinning absentmindedly while she kept preparing the meal.
“You’re grinning,” Kazunari said in annoyance while observing his younger brother. Jun shrugged.
“Is it wrong if I smirk?” Jun replied, trying to act normally. But Kazunari just chuckled.
“And your mind was wandering around somewhere. I said grinning, not smirking,” Kazunari replied, making his younger brother throw him one death glare. If the glare could kill people, Kazunari would surely be dead by now.
But still, Kazunari wasn’t really affected by it. He kept smirking, playing with his chopsticks before started eating his rice. His mouth was quite full when he started speaking again.
“But I completely understand you, Jun-chan. I mean, you were on top of her. With only a towel wrapping your crotch. She’s blushing, too, right, I mean, who wouldn’t be happy when it happened?” Kazunari said, making Jun almost choke on his words. but still, Kazunari didn’t stop there. He continued something that make Satoko almost choke to death when she heard that.
“But younger brother, you lose. And I still win.”
Jun stopped eating, staring dangerously at his older brother. While Satoko looked at him, curiously.
“What do you mean?” Jun asked, obviously feeling threatened by Kazunari’s words.
“I mean-“ Kazunari said, picking some fish into his bowl. “You just landed on top of her. While in my case, she was on top of me, with her lips on mine. I win by a large margin with that fact, didn’t I?”
Satoko swore, if killing wouldn’t cause her to go to jail, Kazunari would be buried deep in a grave that she would dig with her own hands. That man had promised to keep it secret but in the end, he was the one spilling it. What a jerk!
Satoko didn’t have any proper words to describe what happened next. It was stormy. The two brothers were yelling at each other; Jun was saying Kazunari was just trying to manipulate her to love him, while Kazunari said Jun was just as sly as he was when he did that to Satoko this morning. Satoko could only hope that the quarrel would not end with any food or plates flying all over the place.
But one thing that she never know was, it would be much tougher than she ever thought.
“This is all your fault!” Jun suddenly said, pointing his finger at her.
“M- me? What have I done?”
“You exist! And now we have fallen in love with you!” Kazunari said, making her eyes widen. Fall in love? Yet you guys still bully me.
“Bu- but I never-“
“We don’t want to hear anything!” Jun cut her off. “Now decide! Who are you going to love?”
Wait, what? She had to decide? She never put herself in this mess before but now she was in twice the trouble. Somehow, these two brothers were not making any sense.
“Wait. How should I choose? I never love anyone of you. How can I decide to love one?”
“Why not?”
“You can’t force someone to love you, Matsumiya-sama. Love isn’t forced, It is earned. In order for me to love someone, that certain someone needs to earn it,”
She herself was surprised of her own words. The fact that she never had a proper conversation with the two brothers before doubled her surprise. She was lucky enough that her words didn’t cause the two brothers to yell back at her, instead made them start thinking of the truth of her words.
“Fine, then! Let’s make a deal,” Jun suddenly said. Two pairs of eyes fell on him, giving their full attention on what he was going to said next. “Let’s see who can make her fall in love with first. If she ever falls in love with anyone of us, the winner will have her, and the loser has to step back. Deal?”
“Deal,” Kazunari smirked, feeling all determine to win Satoko’s heart. Satoko in the other hand, protest.
“Why am I being involved in this kind of mess? And I’m not a thing for you guys to win around.” But none of her words were heard by the two brothers. They went back to their chairs, eating the food that Satoko had prepared while the game began.
“This one is nice, Satoko-chan.”
“I love this. Maybe you can teach me how to cook this. Maybe I can help you later?”
Satoko lost track of who was saying what because all the things she received afterwards, one after another were just compliments. And she didn’t know if she should be happy or not.
************
A week past.
Her routine changed drastically. Jun chose to prepare his clothes by himself: ironing, laundry, everything was done by him. While Kazunari had started to change his attitude from being a brat to the most romantic man Satoko had ever met. Well, she just met three men in her life. Two; which was her two stepbrothers, were horrible while her father was nice. But still she couldn’t get a grasp on what was happening. All of a sudden, she had nothing to do aside from watching them doing the works or being pampered by the two men.
She couldn’t help feeling happy, she got a nice treatment from the two brothers now, what else would she complain? Well, sometimes it felt awkward though, but still, being pampered nicely by the two men was truly blissful. She didn’t have to cook for them anymore, do laundry for them, none. She was the princess in the house, but she never was spoiled. Instead, she was always being nice to them, making day by day, the love they had for her grow bigger and they each felt determined to have Satoko as his own bride.
That was the only thing that Satoko couldn’t decide. She couldn’t hurt the two brothers. She was afraid of what’s going to happen if she did. She didn’t want the brothers to quarrel over her. And she was afraid if she chose one of them, the other would be hurt and wold go his own way, breaking the bond they had. Satoko didn’t want that because for her, family always comes first.
But never did Satoko know, the new development made some ill-hearted people started to hate her.
The Matsumiya brothers were so good looking that some ladies in the town had set their eyes on them. They always thought Satoko as their rival, despite all the bad treatment she received before. Now that the brothers were fighting over her, some ladies in the town started to plan something to get rid of Satoko.
And their plan was evil.
Satoko was watching the brothers playing badminton with her as their winning target. Whoever wins the game will have the chance to take Satoko for a date the whole day. Suddenly, she felt a hard stab on her chest. The pain was unbearable. She started screaming, hoping for the pain to go away. She rubbed her chest a few times, trying to ease the pain, but nothing seemed to work.
Before the brothers manage to reach her, she fell to the ground.
**********************************
Only god knows how much the two brothers tried to, but in the end, they reached a dead end. Every single person, doctors, magicians, and psychics they invited to save their poor little lovely sister left without a solution. Satoko was still breathing, but she fell into one deep sleep, and no one knew how to cure the beautiful girl.
Until one day, one handsome shaman came uninvited.
“I see you guys have trouble,”
No one replied.
“Let me see your sister, and I will tell you the solution.”
The two brothers moved aside, eyeing the shaman with suspicious eyes. They frowned.
The shaman was reading a mantra in an unknown language. He recited the mantra for a few minutes before he blew something towards Satoko who was lying motionless on the bed. After a while, he stopped before turning to look at the two brothers.
“Your sister was cursed by jealous eyes. Oh yes, before I proceed, this is my card. You might need further treatment later, who knows?” the shaman said, winking at the two men while giving them his card. The card printed the name “Aiba Masaki”. The two men snorted.
“Anyway, I found a solution for your sister to wake up again,”
“Huh? What is it?” Kazunari asked lazily.
“Well, true love is always the best cure, gentlemen. In order for her to wake up again, someone has to kiss her. If the one who kiss her is able to wake her up, that is her true love. And they will live happily…”
“Hai! Cut!” Jun yells, feeling a little annoyed. “Cut, cut, cut. No matter how it looks, I won’t play this anymore.”
“Why not?”
“Because it is ridiculous. Seriously, Aiba-chan, how much are you trying to make this thing ridiculous?” Jun asks, ignoring how Nino was cracking up behind him. Ohno, who is earlier lying on the sofa, sits up, removing the blonde wig from his head before messing his hair.
“What? What’s ridiculous? It hasn’t finished yet,” Aiba protests. “I even make you guys as the main characters even more. You should wait for it to finish!”
Jun snorts.
“Trust me. It has been ridiculous since the time you claim yourself as a handsome shaman.”
“That’s the only time I can appeal myself. You guys get too many spotlight!” Aiba protests, pouting. Jun shakes his head.
“Well, someone has to kiss her, right? You’re not even stating in the script whose kiss will make her wake up yet. How will that end the whole story?” Jun asks. Well, it makes a lot of sense, though. They’re at a climax of a story, but nothing as a solution.
“Well, Riida can decide it, ne, Riida?” Aiba says, asking for some help from the leader who then is looking at him with a deep frown.
“Wait. Me? Why me?”
“Because you’re playing Satoko. So, you can decide who’s going to be the true love for your love story.”
For once, Ohno doesn’t know how to protest. Well, an hour ago, they were all bored in their greenroom while waiting for their next recording session. That was when Aiba pulled out the script he had written a day before and they acted it out reluctantly.
And now, Aiba is asking him to choose? Again. Like, seriously?
How could he choose among the two? For what point he should choose? Because in the end, to him, both Nino and Jun are his precious friends. And to be honest, even outside the script itself, these two Matsumiya brothers are fighting for him. Ugh, this is torture, so confusing.
“I can’t choose,” he suddenly blurts it out loud.
“Huh?” the three echoed.
“I change my answer, I will not choose between these two as my true love.”
“Why not?” Nino asked.
“It’s another Cinderella story. True love will always be the prince.” Ohno reasoned.
“But no one was playing the prince in this, Riida,” Nino disagrees. “The plot Aiba-chan wrote was mainly for the two brothers. That’s the reason why he made them to fall in love with Satoko.”
“Yeah, I know…” Ohno pauses, scanning the room, trying to find one solution. But then…
“Wait, are we still thinking about the plot? I mean, we’re not playing it anymore right?” Ohno says, annoyance shown in his voice. It’s not that he really is annoyed though, but he is sure that the two will definitely be so persistent when they want a final decision.
“You still have to. The story won’t end if we don’t get the ending,” Aiba replies, making Ohno throw him one troubled look.
“But you’re the director,” Ohno said.
“Yeah, but I will allow improvisation,” Aiba says, being so persistent towards the leader of the group. “Come on, Riida, just choose one. The winner will be doing a lot of fan service for our upcoming concert.”
“That’s not a reward, Aiba-chan,” Ohno snaps.
“Just choose!” the three yell in unison.
Gosh, why on earth am I being involved in this? Ohno thinks. He starts making the troubled thinking face, trying to get some mercy from the three men. But no one seems care. They need an answer, and that’s all they care about.
He keeps hoping for their manager to come and tell them that recording is about to start soon, and that he could just say he will decide later. But after five minutes, no one came through the door, while the other three surrounds him eagerly waiting for an answer.
But maybe he’s lucky enough, when suddenly, the door creaks open, revealing Sho coming into the greenroom.
Sho is about to tell them about the recording when suddenly, Ohno stands from his place feeling determined as he states his decision.
“Sho-kun can be the prince. And I’ll choose the prince.”
“HAH??” Sho says, confused and feeling funny at the same time. “What is this all about?”
But the three doesn’t seem satisfied by his answer. They keep insisting for him to choose between the two until Ohno stops them.
“We miss one member in the script, and guys, Arashi always work as five, right?”
Somehow that manages to make the three stop. Sho laughs, watching them.
“What? You guys role playing again?” Sho asks, though Ohno can see the smile on Sho’s lips is one victorious smile.
“We have too. Aiba-san and his weird idea was somehow…”
“Entertaining?” Sho cut Jun’s words, knowing the man won’t admit it anyway. Still, it manages to make the room filled with laughter.
It is when the room is silent as the three are heading to the recording room when Sho walks towards Ohno, wrapping his hand around his waist.
“So… I’m the prince?” Ohno raises an amused eyebrow at Sho.
“You are always the prince, Sho-kun,” Ohno replies, trying to move away. but Sho grips him tight.
“So… I get to steal a kiss, right?”
Ohno is too shock to answer that. He turns to look at the man, before his lips meets Sho, only for a brief second though, but that manages to make him blushed the way Satoko blushed earlier when they depart.
“That kiss was supposed to make you awake, Satoshi-kun, not make you dumbfounded,” Sho says along with a laugh. He lets the man go before he heads to the door, ready to leave. He stops halfway though, before turning to look at Ohno who’s standing still where he left him.
“Come on, princess. Everyone’s waiting. We still have to do the wedding ceremony,” Sho says with a chuckle. Ohno snorts and this time, Sho laughs his heart out. Leaving Ohno alone in the room, he heads straight to the recording room.
“Tsk, blame that ‘Arashi works as five’ thing,” Ohno says, snorting again. But before he leaves the room, he touched his lips, blushing when he thinks of what happened between him and Sho just now.
