“I’m getting married,”
Sho hears it right. He wonder why the other three asks the man again the same question when it repeats inside his head like a broken record.
It was year ago when he watch Aiba leaved them, the last image he had on the guy is his back, walking leaving the four of them confuse and frustrated. He blames himself for letting that to happen. No matter how many times he tells himself that Aiba was the first one to cause all the ruckus by kissing him at the public, but he still blames himself for getting carried away.
He mean it what he said last time. he told him that he can never see the man the way he see him. he loves him, but not as lover. he loves him as a bandmates, a friend he care so much.
But the moment Aiba walks away from them, something snaps inside him. it was so subtle before it grew into an intense pain. It felt familiar to him, he felt that once when he was broken by the one he loved during their Junior day. it was a few days of thinking and consulting with the other member, he knew he had said it wrong. He was seeing him the same way he was seeing him. he loves him that thought of losing the man brings pain every single time he thought about it.
Just when he thought he already had his punishment for breaking the man’s heart a year ago, it breaks him evenmore when Aiba declares he’s getting married. The scar from his ‘punishment’ feels like burning as he heard that.
But he knows, he has lost the right to say no to Aiba’s earlier declaration when he rejected him a year ago. Trying so hard to hold himself from breaking, he utters his congratulations towards the man. Only god knows how broken he was.
"Congratulation" he says, faking a happy tone. "i'm sure she's gonna be one lucky girl to have you in her life,"
Aiba could only nod.
"Who’s the lucky girl? Asami-san?" Sho tries to further up the question. For once, Aiba stares at him in disbelieve.
"If the rumor about me and her last time was true, do you think that I will still confess to you? Do you think that this thing will happen? I will still be in Tokyo with the four of you, don't you think that?" he snaps, obviously feeling annoyed. He knows Sho trying to lighten up the mood between them, but no matter how much he tries to think positive, Sho is just doing it at the very wrong timing.
But when he saw Sho lowers his head, muttering his sorry, he just feels even worst. Sho means well, but maybe with the things happen between them, he get over sensitive to the joke.
The five of them fell speechless. No one could find a right word to speak. And when he knows that the situation leads nowhere than awkward, he decides to end their meeting that day.
"i got to go," he begins as he grabs his stuffs on the table. Not dare to lift up his head, he continue what he has made up. "i have something to do for zero tomorrow,"
"i thought you had an off day tomorrow," nino speaks a matter of truth. It sounds sarcastic, but Sho just want to leave as fast as possible to care about Nino’s words.
"Yeah.... But... Something came out.. Last minutes,"
Aiba notices that. No matter how convinces Sho tried to be, but the gesture he did shows he's lying. He didn't lift up his head, avoiding his gaze from him. And when he done, he just mutters "see you guys next time," and leave the room without even looking towards them. Makes Aiba feels even guiltier as he thinks about it.
It takes a few minutes of silent before nino speaks.
"Aiba-chan..."
"Don’t," he cuts the gamer word. "i'm not in the mood to discuss about it,"
"Don’t be stuborn, Aiba-chan," Jun tries to console him to talk. But Aiba just waves his hand to stop Jun from talking.
"I leave you guys a year ago. I'm no longer an idol and my decision doesn't need to be approved by any of you guys. Fullstop. Now if you please, I have work to do back there,"
He leaves to the kitchen, obviously feeling annoyed.
He admitted, having the four with him tonight, it's the best feeling he ever feel from the past 1 year. But when topic starts and it feels like everyone starts to attack him with a question like he was the one guilty in the whole situations.
Oh well, he is. If he hadn't confessed, no, if he never has a feeling for the newscaster, this whole things won't even happen.
He takes his aprons, wears it before take a look at one of the order and begins cooking again.
"Otousan, ohisashiburi," nino voice seems echo in his ears making him to take a look at the man who went to greet his father at the other side of the kitchen.
He saw his father smiles as he talks to nino before he shift his sight to the gamer who then grins as he looks at him. Sighing, he continues finishes his cooking.
He didn’t really heard what are the things that Nino and his father discuss, but the next thing he heard is the sound of footsteps before it stops behind him. He turns to take a look at the owner to see Nino, grinning, standing behind him.
“what?” he asks as he put the food he cooks into the plate before pressing the bell alerting the waiter to take the order.
“I know you still keep that futon that specially for me to use right? It’s gonna be useful for me tonight,” Aiba snorts causing Nino to laughs. But Nino’s laugh fade after a while before his face shows a serious expression.
“I seriously need to correct what you said just now, Aiba-chan. you’re still an idol, and yes your decision might not need our permission. We’re fine with you getting married. But you need to explain your decision to Jimusho,” Nino speaks, this time serious in his tone.
“I told you…”
“Julie is stupid! She makes that decision. But of course Johnny-san will take it back!”
“Why would he?” Aiba asks, smirking. “I’m not that worth,”
Nino sighs.
“Maybe,” Nino shrugs. “But Arashi is. And we work as five. Remember?”
Aiba shakes his head. He pushes Nino aside, taking another order before starts cooking again.
“I know you still feel bitter about what happen last time. Don’t cut me!” Nino raise up his voice when he saw Aiba was trying to talk.
“look, Aiba-chan. before you proceed with whatever you have decided, I seriously think you should know what happen a year ago. no. a few month after you left,”
Aiba stares at the gamer, curious by what he has said.

Jun pulls Ohno along with him outside, trying to figure up a way for them to head back to Tokyo. The four of them rides in one car together just now, but now that Sho has drove back to Tokyo alone, Jun has no idea how will they get back to Tokyo.
Or so he thought.
The moment he steps out the shop, he see Sho’s car at one corner. Sighing, jun pulls ohno towards the car direction before he knocks the window, startles Sho who seems his mind wanders aimlessly.
“are you OK?” Jun asks once he gets in the car.
“I will lie if I say I am,” Sho replies, not looking at the younger man.
Jun sighs.
“Let me drive then,” before Sho could even shake his head, Jun snaps. “You don’t want what happened to you a year ago happens to us next Sho-san. Let me drive,”
Sho falls silent for a moment. He keeps looking at the younger member who is now looking at him with a soften eyes, though his face shows he is serious. Somehow he sighs, before opens the door, change his place with Jun.
The three of them keeps silent along their way to Tokyo. Jun could feel the tense exist in the car, before he starts talking.
“Sho-san… earlier…”
“it’s fine. You mean well,” Sho says, cutting him. Jun sighs.
“it’s not about that. I know you hurt,”
This time, it’s Sho to sigh.
“there’s no point. The words I said to him a year ago, I can’t take it back anymore. He deserves his happiness, and what I ever I get now, I deserve it,”
“Wrong,” Ohno speaks all of sudden, startles the two. “no one deserves any kind of hurt Sho-kun,”
“But I make mistakes. I hurt him last time,”
“When you make mistakes, you correct it. Not leave it as a mistake forever,”
He pats the man’s shoulder before continues again.
“Maybe by letting him get married is a way for you to make everything right for him. But what about you? A mistake should be corrected by making sure nothing will get harm by the it. In this case, maybe he is happy, but what about you? And are you really sure he’s happy with that decision Sho-kun?”
“i…”
“If he did, I don’t think his father will call us for nothing,” Jun supports Ohno’s earlier words. “Make a right decision, Sho-san. You told us again and again you make a mistake last time. You don’t want to make another mistake this time,”
Sho sighs for the countless times that day.

A/N: as you can see, i've dropped the 'drabble' at the title. why? because the time is limited. ngee.. i thought that i might be able to fit everything in drabble, but seems like if i did that, i will leave holes in my plot. and this chapter already exceed 1500 words -.-"
just wondering. i was doing this fic with the purpose 'for sho's birthday' but seems like three chapters was Aiba-centered. and the next chapter will be Aiba-centered too. i wonder if i should drop for sho's birthday too.
