(no subject)
After a terrible day yesterday trying to get things accomplished on campus (ie administrative bullshit) I get on my page today and they FINALLY fixed my last name!!! They didn't have the hypen in there and just had it all one word....Lloydcowden.....dur. So yesterday was the second time I went to ask about having it fixed after sending the appropriate form over 2 months ago. But at least it's fixed!
So one more thing that has to get done and it's been the most frustrating. I have to get my assistantship contract signed. It makes it so I can teach the labs and get my money!! It was lost when it was originally sent over from the bio department with everyone else's a while ago. It was re-sent last Thursday when I realized what was wrong and went yesterday (thinking it was enough time for paperwork....oh but I was wrong). The lady in the graduate school said they hadn't received it yet and it was probably on it's way from the school of arts and science and the person to contact wasn't in their office. So, I have to wait, but I'm gonna keep calling and checking on it over the next few days! Last administrative hassle adn it'll be all good!
Classes start today. First day of grad classes is kindda scary.....but only one today, and I'll have friends in there with me. Already met some really nice people. Makes thing easier knowing people in a new area.
