So I read Twilight

This cartoon sums it up nicely:

Often I could just laugh at how terrible it was, other times it was just painful and insulting and I wanted to chuck it out the window. I don't think I read a single page I didn't have a problem with. I decided to read it 'cause a couple of close friends love it and I made fun of them for it, and I had been thinking that that had been unfair having not read it myself. Maybe it wouldn't be that bad. But it was worse. Still, I made myself finish it.
I'm now reading El Juego del Ángel by Carlos Ruiz Zafón and R for Rocket, a collection of short stories by Ray Bradbury.
More excitingly, I bought The Journal of Impossible Things and it is utterly gorgeous. Kind of small, only one quarter of an A4 page, but enough to appreciate the detail in the contents. Loads and loads of pages of drawings and writing that weren't shown in Human Nature. There's drawings of Martha, Captain Jack, more of Rose, pages dedicated to every episode of the new series up to Human Nature, mentions a couple of things from the classic series, like the hermit who lived in the mountains of Gallifrey. It also has blank pages for you to fill in, so I'll definetely be adding stuff once exams are over and I have spare time. It also came with a toy sonic screwdriver (supposedly it's a 'mini sonic screwdriver', but looks the right size to me, and I've got big hands) so I've been practising my Tennant Flip TM.

el juego del angel, twilight, sonic screwdriver adventures, fandom, ray bradbury, doctor who, the journal of impossible things, books
