Some Boring Info 'About Me' Stuff
I realized I totally didn't write a post that's got a bunch of info about me (and that my bio on the profile doesn't contain much), so, here I am, giving you the lowdown on me...or something like that. Bawl. I'm a kind of boring person, but I ENJOY TALKING IN CAPS A LOT SO FEEL FREE TO JUST SPAM ME IN CAPS IF YOU WANT. =O YEY CAPS! ♥
THE BIO (I GUESS)
Hello hello! Most people (online) know me as Megori. I've been web designing and the like since December 2000, mostly dabbling in the animanga web design community only. As you may have noticed, I'm something of an obsessive yaoi addict. I avidly collect English translated y!novels and a whole variety of manga. Recently, I've gotten into collecting various doujinshis as well (truth be told, I only have KHR DJs right now, but I'm looking to expand that).
Aside from fangirling like the crazy person that I am, I work as a Web Development Specialist in a small marketing company called Jones Marketing Group, Inc. I specialize in basic PHP and MySQL as well as coding for browser compatibility, valid XHTML Strict/Transitional and tableless designs. Although I say that, I spend most of my hours at work managing the web server, changing DNS, fixing potential network problems and the like (totally not what I was hired to do). From time to time, I'm forced to design stuff too (which is definitely not my forte).
Family wise, I come from a family with eight other siblings (three brothers and five sisters) with myself being the fourth youngest child. I have three older sisters, all of whom are married. From those three (and my second oldest brother who is now divorced), I have thirteen nieces and nephews, all ranging from 11 years of age to about six months. Yeah, it gets crazy when we all get together (about once every other year).
I'm not very into celebrities and the like, but I do have a few favorites. Typically speaking, I listen only to English music, as English (and Hmong) is the only language I can easily understand. I enjoy music for the sake of the lyrics, so songs in languages I don't understand don't exactly fall into that category. However, I do enjoy listening to foreign music from Rain (and his smile is so super cute). Other celebrities I tend to enjoy watching and/or listening to include Will Smith, Robert Downey Jr., Horikita Maki, Charlize Theron, Demi Lovato, Won Bin, Jackie Chan, Jet Li, Chuck Norris (LOL MOM LOVES HIM) and Adam Sandler. TAE GUK GI IS AN AWESOME MOVIE. I TOTALLY RECOMMEND IT TO EVERYONE. ♥
In terms of religion, I attempt to be a good Christian. I swear (a lot), but I'm working on fixing that problem. xD I promise I'll work super hard this year on that! I'm part of the Christian & Missionary Alliance denomination but believe Christians are actually bits and pieces of one whole (and therefore, denomination doesn't or shouldn't matter). I try not to get up in other's face about my faith, but I will stand up for it when it gets beaten down (in front of my face anyway). I don't badmouth the beliefs of others, so I expect the same respect in return.
