What I need is the dandelion in the spring.

I'm not even going to bother locking this post. Such flailing cannot be restricted to merely my flist. But I will probably be rambling so much that hardly anyone will read it because I can promise there will be a lot of text in this post.

MOCKINGJAY
The book that stole my heart.
And mind. And broke them both a little.

Did you read my review? READ IT READ IT READ IT. It's a comfort to grasp the views of others, trust me. Sifting through themockingjay helped so much.

I didn't have nightmares but I was numb in a way. My emotions (and my brain, seeing as I was up until 5am) were exhausted.

Katniss was still Katniss, but she changed. War, traumatic experiences, tragedy, it all changes a person. And no one can ignore that she is merely 17 years old and forced to handle something that adults probably wouldn't have handled as well as she did.

The deaths were hard. And sad. A slap in the face of the reality of war.

Prim's was hard. It was a numbing pain. Finnick's death was the one that struck me the hardest because it felt so unnecessary and because I loved him dearly. Prim... it felt like she was so pure, untouchable, and yet it's appropriate in the storyline for Katniss to lose her because it's Prim of all people that Katniss would do anything to protect, Prim who remains untainted and untouched by everything. It would be the one thing to destroy the little strength and passion Katniss had left. Unfair. But plausible.

I wasn't confused at the end, but depressed. It's sort of a happy end, just not a happily ever after. Peeta and Katniss are broken and suddenly their lives will seem boring but the boring normalcy they live with is the best thing for them both. They promise to live their lives as best as they can for their fallen friends. It isn't perfect... but they're alive and they have each other.

Most dystopian novels (I feel) are misleading if the end is uplifting. There is no happy ending to war. A country might win a war but always at a cost.

The fic I started writing is dystopian-esque, but I started writing it before reading The Hunger Games, and it's nothing so brutal. It's discreet. But I will say that after reading these books, I might be cruel with the ending.

LOLZ SRSLY! START LOVE NOT WAR!

PS: Don't be lonely. There are many people who are feeling as empty as you are. This book tends to do that.

PETER PAN! YOUR ICON~ ♥

I'm sorry you had a crappy night. I'm the kind of girl who's always up to midnight or later, and constantly when I'm reading. But for someone who isn't used to that, I can understand a little. But for you to be literally sick, I'm so sorry! Watch a Disney movie, get some happy thoughts into that head of yours.

I don't know if it's right for me to comment on that, but the world is a scary place and it'll never be perfect. That's how life is. But it doesn't mean the world is all bad, there many things that are very good. Humanity will disagree and fight, but humanity also has a great capacity to love. Being afraid won't help the world get better, but showing love to as many people as you can will.

Do get sleep! Excersize, watch happy movies, listen to happy music, put your mind at rest. <3
