Good news/bad news.
Good news- I got a job at House of Blues. I'll be a server, which isn't *really* what I wanted, but at least I'll be working there, and eventually, I'll be behind a bar. 9 out of 10 people in Dallas claim to be a bartender. 9 out of 10 of those people CLAIM to be a good bartender. I'm one of those that is a combination of both. I'm a great server too, so that'll put me in the front running whenever a spot comes up for bar.
Bad news- Orrientation is the 23rd at 9 am. My grandparents 50th wedding anniversary is the 21st. I'll be in Nashville. We were planning on driving back on the 23rd. So now, I have one of two optinons-
A) spend the money for a plane ticket back sunday night or EARLY monday morning
or
B) Drive back all night Sunday night.
If I don't make it to orientation on the 23rd, I won't be able to work there until some people quit/get fired. Which means I miss out on all the opening stufff... friends and family night, grand opening, George Clinton and the P.F.....
So yeah.
Yay for new job. Boo for them having to start the ONE time I leave Dallas. I need this job though... I'm gonna make SO much money... and there's BENIFITS!!! I can go to a doctor, get new contacts, and get my teeth fixed up all purdy... oh, AND the chance for advancement. I'm SO stoked.
time to check for flights. Thankfully, Southwest services Nashville, so I can probably find a cheap flight.
