Blocked!, Redux - Part Two
So I use the wireless in my room at work (I'm one of the few that has a business reason to do so), and I rarely plug into the wired. It's been the wireless network that had me blocked, but the wired network wasn't letting me access any website at all, so I was stuck - neither method was functioning right. Still working on getting my name off the profanity filter on the wireless, but I had the Help Desk come look at my laptop to figure out why the wired wasn't letting me access anything.
Turns out I wasn't connecting to the VPN - who knew that I would need to VPN when I'm onsite? Internet controls were trying to automatically detect settings instead of using the configuration script, so he switched them back, tested them, and Voila! I can access the Intraweb again, sans stupid profanity filter, at least until I have to use my wireless again.
I know all 2-4 people who actually read my blog are incredibly relieved to know that I won't need to leave LJ after all. :)
