Well, not gone yet, but soon.
As I wrote in
this SFScope post, I'm putting the site on hold for a week or so. At the same time, I'm putting most of the rest of my life on hold for the same week. All because I've been accepted to the
Launch Pad Astronomy Workshop, which is a NASA-funded workshop to give writers a crash course in modern astronomy, in the hopes that they'll be able to share the knowledge with their audiences.
At the moment, I'm thrilled to be going because it's an enforced break from 'Scope, Fantastic Books, the Census, and everything else that's been keeping me from sleeping. But I'm very much hoping that, by the time I get there, I'll only be excited by the workshop itself.
Several of the participants have said they'll be blogging during the workshop. I'm not planning to, because I fear that logging on to do so would allow me to drift into doing other work. But I'll have the computer with me, just in case.
At any rate, I'm trying to finish up several projects I'm in the middle of, but I know they won't all be done before dawn Sunday morning. For those who are expecting things from me, I hope you'll understand this week's delay. Thanks very much.
Enjoy the week; I know I will.
