After making some rather spontaneous pin purchases on eBay, I decided that I needed to start organizing my pins. I only have 18 right now, but that's not counting the ones I just bought, and of course I will seize any opportunity to return to Disney World and buy more. (Not that I would need the incentive of more pins to collect to seize the opportunity to return to Disney World.. but that's not the point.)
I decided that, first, I needed a spreadsheet. (Take that, Mac commercials! Spreadsheets are useful. =P) But it is very difficult to search for certain pins on the
official Disney Pins website, so I did some Googling. And came across
Pin Pics. It's primarily a pin-trading website (so far, I have no interest in trading.. only collecting), but it allows you to make a nice little list of your pins. Or nice big list, I guess, if you have loads of them. So I did that, did not check off any trading options, and now I have a
list with pictures! I made my spreadsheet, too, so now I have two ways of keeping track of my pins. :)
So, uhm, mostly this post is to convince you that I have interests outside of knitting, Harry Potter, and Vikings. And to show off my pretty pins. =P I'm mostly just collecting pins that mean something to me -- favourite characters (I'm going to try to build up a nice Cinderella collection), places I've stayed (so far only the Polynesian, but perhaps I can find a Wilderness Lodge one -- that's where I stayed the first time we went.. 12 years ago), favourite attractions, etc. And since I have no idea how long it will be before I get to return to Disney World, I'll just have to buy these pins to satisfy myself in the meantime. :)
Now I should probably go to sleep and refrain from spending any more money on eBay. ^^;;
