PoA/GoF-style Gryffindor scarf

OK, so I think I'm going to go ahead and make my yay-I-finished-a-knitting-project entries public. Why? Because I feel like it. It adds a little variety. Or something.

And now I present.. the finished PoA/GoF-style Gryffindor scarf!

Yeah, the pictures sucks, I didn't get a chance to take good ones.

The yarn is Red Heart Super Saver in Claret and Caron Perfect Match in Sunflower. I had to buy two skeins of the Claret to finish the scarf. The yarn was much softer after I washed the scarf, and it draped better.

Made following the atypically.knit pattern, but with some changes:
-knit flat, rather than in the round; I cast on 45 stitches instead of 90.
-I knit it in garter stitch, because I didn't realize I could do k1p1. Thus, it has a "right side" and "wrong side."
-Because it was garter stitch, I had to do 28 rows instead of 27, 4 instead of 3, and 6 instead of 5 for the different size stripes.

It ended up being 10 inches wide (I recommended wearing it folded in half), and I didn't measure how long. But it was pretty long. It could double as a table runner, if one desired.

I think it took me about two weeks to finish, but I'm not entirely sure because I didn't work on it for a while because my finger hurt. ^^;;
