I stopped writing 'Dear' because I thought you would think the worst. A Dear John letter from your Mary? Honestly the world would come to a stand still. Besides, you were never very dear to me, I recall calling you hon, but never dear. Unless of course I'm forgetting again, and you know me, Miss Absentminded.
Missing you, as always, and hoping you'll be coming home soon. I know you left on a sour note compliments of you know who, but it was just a gut reaction. You scared me, I was scared and I didn't know what to do so I yelled. I shouldn't have, I realize that now (exactly when it won't help), and I'm sorry. I don't understand? But I'm trying.
School is tiresome, but it keeps me from going batty thinking about you. Julie keeps sending me these books of postcards from her trip, so I'm sending them to you. They aren't a little slice of home like I usually send -- somehow Kansas always gets left out of these kind of things -- but it's a little slice of what I wanna do with my life. And that counts for something, right?
