Introduction for
Couples TherapyPatient's Name: Mary Winchester
Patient's Partner: John Winchester [Canon]
The idea of therapy doesn't bother her. She can tell by the way his jaw is set and the way the tendons in his wrists are standing out in stark white contrast to his tan skin that it bothers him. He's frustrated, she knows, that he has to be here, but she promised she'd be here too.
That must make it a little better.
He's called into the office and she pushes him up. Sometimes she thinks he acts more like a child than a man, but she loves him for it all the same because eventually, he does get to his feet and he even gets nearly a foot from her before he notices she's still sitting down. He looks panicked for a second before she gives him that smile of hers and her hand is in his.
The therapist double checks his notes when John walks in with Mary at his heels and he clears his throat awkwardly.
"Hi," she says to him with a bright smile, sitting down on the worn and comfortable love seat and tugging John down next to her. "I'm Mary. It's real nice to meet you."
