Some thoughts/observations as I'm trying to get to fall asleep:
-Has anyone heard of this movie coming out called Borat? Is anyone excited about a movie about a guy from Kazakstan who comes to make his own movie? Has Hollywood put out one good movie recently??? I'm hard-pressed to name one.
-On the topic of movies ... sorta related to what I just said. Saw 3 is coming out Friday (e.g. today). A "Saw 3"???? Are you friggin' serious? Someone tell me if this movie was just as bad as the first two...I can't see its appeal unless you enjoy weak-plotted movies...I would be interested to see if the directors came up with other ingenious ways to kill someone.
-Some shocking facts I learned tonight at poker night (mostly from Kim's boyfriend Chris):
(a) In New Hampshire it is illegal to have oral sex with anyone of any age, even if they consent to it. And I wonder how many people have had charges filed against them on this basis? My guess is zero.
(b) (Sort-of assumed this) In Vermont there is an unwritten law that it is okay to have sex with a sheep. Poor sheep. I really hope it doesn't happen when the sheep's head gets stuck in between the fence. "Stttttooooooooppppp" ;)
(c) Maine and Massachusetts have the same state bird. I guarantee you that besides for ridiculously high taxes, that is all that Maine and Massachusetts have in common.
(d) The last U.S. census fell on the date in which Star Wars Episode 1 came out. Well, Star Wars geeks (~1% of the U.S. population) chose their religious affiliation as "Jedi." The 1% of the population figure is important because that's the minimum number of people it would take to get any religion identified on US census papers. So from now on...and you can thank the Star Wars fans for this... you can now make your religion on census data (or any other government paperwork, for that matter) as "Jedi." Jedi is now recognized as an official U.S. religion.
-I spent half of my math class today learning about "perfect numbers." What's a perfect number, you might ask? Basically any integer that can be reached by adding together any of its divisors. So an example is 6...since 6 has 3 divisors (1,2,and 3)....1+2+3 = 6. So I guess all other numbers are "imperfect" or "flawed"???
