it seems to me that if you're ever in a foreign place and needing to feel familiar, you can just go to the mall. most malls seem to be the same. it's sort of comforting, in a really weird
way.
last night i went to see ratatat at turner hall.
you wouldn't think a ratatat concert could get so crazy, but it was easily the most intense concert i have ever been to. i lost my shoes (twice). lex and mirando were really awesome, but wildcat was definitely the highlight of the night (obviously). this guy we were dancing with would get so into the cat sound effects, every time i close my eyes i still see his crazed facial expression.
P.S.: seventeen years = most perfect encore ever.
i ended up skipping english this morning (again, which is not good) and opted instead to catch up on laundry and write a paper i found out about last night on the way home from turner hall (which doesn't necessarily explain my livejournal digression).
things have been really busy over the last couple of weeks.
my accelerated visual statements class hung our first show last thursday to showcase our "survival kit for humanity" assignments. we spent our entire last class critiquing (3 hours) and didn't even manage to make it halfway through, even though there are only twelve of us. that sounds tedious if you think about it in terms of dreyfoos critiquing, but i actually kind of like it. i actually kind of like everything related to school, which is weird, but sort of awesome.
i can't believe it's already so close to october.
the leaves are starting to change colors.
fall break is coming up soon and i've been entertaining the idea of venturing over to the east coast.
the only problem is whether or not i'm willing to spend the money.
which brings me to my next goal:
get
a
job.
